Japan’s ‘Super Sentai,’ the show behind ‘Power Rangers,’ ends after 51 years

“Super Sentai,” a Japanese superhero series that has run for 51 years, took its final bow, bringing to an end a decades-long weekend institution on Japanese television.  The production company behind “Super Sentai” confirmed the end of the series on Monday, Feb. 8, with its current season, “No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger,” four months after it was reported that it would release its final episode.  “To the colorful warriors who kept on fighting.
