MANILA, Philippines — Lawyer Israelito Torreon on Tuesday said he would “vigorously” defend himself against possible indictment for obstruction of justice, explaining he was merely performing his duties as lead counsel for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) during the search and arrest of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. Torreon made the statement in an interview with reporters after submitting a rejoinder affidavit before the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Manila on Tuesday.
