MANILA, Philippines — Allegedly smuggled cigarettes worth P47.5 million were found in two unattended trucks at a lot in Tarlac City, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Tuesday. Police arrested four individuals last Sunday in connection with the cigarettes and mounted an operation targeting their suspected supplier in Sitio Pag-asa, Sinipit, Barangay Tibag on Monday, according to a PNP statement. “During the follow-up operations, police units attempted to meet with the suspected supplier, who did not appear at the designated location.
