MANILA, Philippines – Lava from Mayon Volcano was observed flowing in three gullies after 35 consecutive days of effusive eruptions, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. In its latest 24-hour observation summary on Wednesday, Phivolcs recorded lava flowing down Mayon Volcano’s Basud, Bonga, and Mi-isi gullies, the deep ravines carved into its slopes. According to Phivolcs, the lava flow reached 3.8 kilometers in Bonga Gully in the southeast.
