MANILA, Philippines – Two Chinese nationals from different parts of the country have been arrested for posing as Filipinos, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said on Wednesday. The BI first arrested a man identified as Jucan Hong in Legazpi City, Albay on February 2, after allegedly faking a Filipino identity for business-related activities. “Intelligence reports showed that Hong had long been misrepresenting himself as a Filipino to secure government-issued identification, including a driver’s license indicating Philippine citizenship, and to engage in business activities in the area,” the BI said in a statement.
