MANILA, Philippines – Albuera, Leyte Mayor Kerwin Espinosa has been released from detention after the Cebu Regional Trial Court recalled and set aside the arrest warrant issued against him for murder. Espinosa’s lawyer, Atty. Raymund Palad said Espinosa has been released from detention as of 5 p.m. Early this month, Espinosa surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation-Central Visayas regional office upon learning that a warrant was issued for his arrest by a Cebu court.
