Candy Pangilinan expressed grief as she announced the passing of her mother, Dori Espiritu, weeks after the latter’s hospitalization due to a heart infection. The actress-comedian disclosed via a statement on her Instagram page that her mom died on Tuesday, Feb. 10. Dori was 89. “We ask for your prayers for the repose of her soul and for all her loved ones,” Pangilinan said, receiving messages of comfort from fellow celebrities including Claudine Barretto, Cherry Pie Picache, Vina Morales and Rita Daniela.
