MAHAYAG, Zamboanga del Sur – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday led the inauguration of the rehabilitated dam in Barangay Salug Dako, Mahayag town, a five-decade-old irrigation structure built in 1967, during the time of his father, the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. The dam, inaugurated in 1970, had long served as the major diversion structure of the Salug River Irrigation System (SARIS), irrigating 8,102.58 hectares of farmland across the towns of Mahayag, Molave, Sominot, and Ramon Magsaysay.
