The defense counsel of former President Rodrigo Duterte is seeking the removal of Joel Butuyan and Gilbert Andres as lawyers representing the drug war victims in the International Criminal Court (ICC). The move came just two weeks after the appointment of Butuyan and Andres. Nicolas Kaufman, in an 11-page document released on Thursday, February 12, also called for the disqualification of a third Filipino lawyer, Nicole Arcaina, who was recently designated by the ICC as case manager for the victims.
