Rains expected as 3 weather systems affect PH on Friday

MANILA, Philippines — Three weather systems continue to affect the Philippines on Friday, bringing rains and cloudy skies, according to the state weather bureau. In its morning forecast, weather specialist Leanne Loreto of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said a shear line, the northeast monsoon, and easterlies are prevailing over the country. “The first is the shear line, or the convergence of the northeast monsoon and easterlies, which is currently affecting the eastern section of southern Luzon,” she said in Filipino.
