Mayon Volcano emits ash

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded two ash-emission events from the summit crater of Mayon Volcano on Friday morning. In a Facebook post, Phivolcs shared time-lapse footage of the emissions, recorded at 8:21 a.m. and 8:27 a.m. “These events generated a grayish plume that rose 50 meters above the crater before drifting west-southwest,” Phivolcs said.
