National Education Minister Yusuf Tekin announced that he would initiate legal proceedings against the ‘We Defend Secularism Together’ text, which was signed by 168 intellectuals and subsequently supported by thousands of citizens. Tekin, who claims that the text was published in response to the Ramadan circular sent by the Ministry of National Education to schools, brought the issue to 28 February. It was noteworthy that Minister Tekin targeted the text based on statements that were not included in it.
