"Israel Defence Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir warned that Tehran's ballistic missiles now pose a direct threat to European capitals in a video address on Saturday, as Israel's campaign against Iran concludes its third week. Pointing to Iran's recent launch of a land-based ballistic missile with a 4,000-kilometre range towards Diego Garcia, he said the threat extends far beyond the region. "Its range reaches European capitals – Berlin, Paris, and Rome – all within direct threat range." "The extensive damage we have inflicted on the Iranian regime is beginning to accumulate into a systematic, strategic, military, economic, and governmental achievement," Zamir stated, describing the damage as mounting after three weeks of strikes. "The regime of evil is weaker. Iran is more exposed and without a significant defensive capability." On the northern front, he vowed operations against Hezbollah would press on, claiming the group is acting "in the service of Iran, destroying Lebanon and dragging it into war." "The current campaign will advance our strategic goal of dismantling Hezbollah's arsenal." "We will continue to fight for our freedom and our future. We will lead to victory," the chief of staff pledged, speaking a week before Passover, a cornerstone of the Jewish calendar, which marks the liberation of the Jewish people from Egyptian bondage more than 3,000 years ago. Zamir also called coordination with Washington "a point of enormous and unprecedented strength," with both sides operating from a shared target bank and synchronised military plans. The joint US-Israeli operation began on February 28, targeting Iran's nuclear and missile infrastructure. Operation Lion's Roar combines air, cyber and intelligence capabilities alongside strikes against regional proxies, including Hezbollah in Lebanon."
