Power rates in Oriental Mindoro drop by 3% despite Middle East war

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Despite rising global petroleum prices driven by war in the Middle East, electricity rates in the province have continued to decline for the third consecutive month this year. In a radio interview on Saturday (March 21), Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (ORMECO) General Manager Engr. Humphrey Dolor said March billing will reflect a reduction of P0.4 per kilowatt-hour.
