"Footage filmed on Saturday shows vehicles burning in a street in the village of Jalud, east of Nablus, after the reported attack on the town. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, three people were injured after the attack. It added that the village council headquarters and four vehicles were set on fire. Local media reported that the attacks also happened in several towns in the Jenin and Nablus governorates on Saturday evening. The Palestinian Media Centre said the attacks followed calls on settler social media pages for rallies on Saturday evening after one settler was killed and another injured in a vehicle collision involving a stolen car from Beit Imrin, north of Nablus. Israel had not commented on the incident at the time of publication, however, the IDF confirmed they were responding to 'arson and disturbances' by Israeli civilians in the area but did not report any arrests. According to the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli settlers carried out 4,723 attacks against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank in 2025. Settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank has escalated sharply in recent months. Israeli President Isaac Herzog and army chief Eyal Zamir have condemned such attacks as a crossing of red lines. Violence has surged across the West Bank since October 7, 2023, with more than 1,070 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces or settlers, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Israeli authorities say at least 70 Israelis have been killed in Palestinian attacks in the territory over the same period."
