KARACHI: Governor Sindh Muhammad Nehal Hashmi offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at the Governor House mosque, after the change of the venue due to early morning rain in the city. Earlier, the Governor was scheduled to offer Eid prayers on the Bagh-e-Jinnah (old Polo Ground) adjacent to the Governor House. After the Eid prayers, during the media interaction, he extended his heartfelt greetings to the nation. He said that Eid teaches us patience, tolerance, sacrifice and brotherhood, emphasizing promotion of love, tolerance and mutual respect in society. It is imperative to share the joys of Eid with the deserving and needy. Special care should be taken of relatives, neighbours and needy people. He pleaded that national unity and solidarity are absolutely essential in the current circumstances. “Celebrate Eid with simplicity, avoid unnecessary expenses,” he advised the people.
