LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, in her social media message, expressed gratitude over the successful achievement of targets related to compassion and public service during the holy month of Ramadan. She stated that the “Nigahban Ramadan Package 2026” has set a historic record in public service, adding that she is thankful to Almighty Allah for fulfilling the commitment of not leaving anyone alone during moments of joy. She further remarked that, for the first time, financial assistance was delivered directly to people at their doorsteps with dignity and respect. Under the package, aid was provided to approximately 4.5 million families, benefiting nearly 25 million individuals across Punjab. Through the “Maryam Ki Sunain” initiative, Rs. 10,000 was distributed to 45,000 families. Additionally, around 4 million people observed Iftar at 422 Nigahban Dastarkhwans set up across the province. Maryam Nawaz Sharif highlighted that, for the first time, a province-wide price control campaign during Ramadan yielded positive results, ensuring unprecedented stability in the prices of essential commodities.
