LUCENA CITY — A fisherman was rescued after his boat sank in waters off Mauban, Quezon, on Saturday, March 21, authorities said. In a belated report on Monday, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Mauban station said the fisherman, whose name was withheld, was returning from a fishing trip near Cagbalete Island in Lamon Bay when his boat suffered a mechanical failure that damaged its hull and caused it to sink off Barangay Cagsiay II.
