From April, rents in old buildings can slightly increase again after a longer pause. The reference values used to calculate the rent will be adjusted. However, due to the 5th Tenancy Law Inflation Relief Act, they may not be increased according to inflation, but by a maximum of one percent. Statistics Austria will publish the reference value for the first time on April 1, 2026.
