MANILA, Philippines — The Sandiganbayan has rejected the bid of a Chinese gambling tycoon implicated in the alleged P50-million bribery case involving immigration officials to lift the hold departure order (HDO) issued against him.  This decision was supposed to prevent him from leaving the country, but Jack Lam’s whereabouts — if he remains in the country or now at large abroad — has not yet been settled.
