UAE president receives Serbia's Vucic to discuss regional and global security

"UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, where the two leaders discussed escalating regional tensions and their impact on international security. Footage shows Sheikh Mohamed welcoming Vucic, who is also seen greeting Emirati officials before joining a bilateral meeting attended by senior delegations from both countries. According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the talks addressed “the developments taking place in the region amid military escalation and its serious repercussions on regional and international security and peace.” WAM reported that the discussions also covered what it described as “ongoing Iranian terrorist attacks against the UAE and countries in the region, which target civilians, civilian facilities, and infrastructure, constituting a violation of these countries’ sovereignty and international law.” Both sides stressed “the need for an immediate halt to escalating military actions” and called for “serious dialogue and diplomatic solutions” to address regional challenges in a way that preserves stability and avoids further crises. For his part, Vucic condemned the attacks and reaffirmed Serbia’s solidarity with the UAE, expressing full support for measures taken to safeguard its security and territorial integrity."
