Lobau Tunnel: S1 Section Faces EU Legal Hurdles

Konrad Lachmayer, a lawyer, sees EU legal obstacles for the construction of a section of the S1. According to EU law, if a Strategic Environmental Assessment is required, Asfinag could lose its responsibility for the construction of the S1 between the planned Lobau tunnel and the A4 at Süßenbrunn, Lachmayer explained at a press conference in Vienna.
