4 nabbed in Zamboanga del Sur anti-illegal mining raid

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — Four individuals were arrested early Thursday during an anti-illegal mining operation under Oplan Kalikasan in Barangay Dulop, Dumingag town in this province. Around 1:30 a.m., operatives from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group–Regional Special Operations Team IX (CIDG RSOT IX), in coordination with the Dumingag Municipal Police Station and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Mines and Geosciences Bureau (DENR-MGB) Regional Office IX, intercepted the suspects while they were loading ore minerals for transport without the required permits.
