Services on the East Rail line were disrupted following a suspected intrusion onto the track area late Friday afternoon. According to the MTR, train services are currently suspended between Mong Kok East and Tai Wai stations. In a notification on the MTR mobile app, the rail operator stated that the disruption was due to "someone being found on the track" between Kowloon Tong and Tai Wai stations. Staff are conducting a search within the track area. While service on that section remains halted, the MTR confirmed that trains are still running on other parts of the East Rail Line, though their frequencies have been adjusted. Services between Admiralty and Mong Kok East are operating every eight minutes, as are trains between Tai Wai and Lo Wu. Meanwhile, trains running between Tai Po Market and Lok Ma Chau will arrive every 12 minutes. The MTR is currently running complimentary shuttle bus runs between Kowloon Tong and Tai Wai stations. Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys. Edited by Tony Sabine
