Cendaña says Sara Duterte just afraid to see evidence against her

MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte is just afraid to face evidence related to the impeachment complaints against her after some of her allies asked the Supreme Court (SC) to stop the proceedings, Akbayan party-list Rep. Percival Cendaña said on Friday. Cendaña in a tweet said that only corrupt public officials would prefer not to face allegations hurled against them. “That’s not surprising, it’s already expected.  Only the corrupt avoid accountability,” Cendaña said in a post on X written in Filipino. “Someone is afraid that evidence against her may come out,” he added.
