Two people are injured after a vehicle was driven at a group of partygoers during a “large disorder event” involving young people in Auckland’s Mt Albert. A further two people suffered injuries in the general disorder. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Phyllis St around 9.24pm last night, where 70-100 people could be seen gathered in groups. One person was transported to Auckland Hospital in a serious condition, three others in moderate conditions. Senior sergeant John Nicol said early information suggests that a vehicle was driven toward a group of partygoers, injuring two people — one with moderate injuries and one with minor injuries. “During the wider disorder, at least two additional individuals also sustained moderate injuries. “Police are continuing to investigate and work to establish exactly what occurred.” Police and ambulance crews are dealing with multiple injured youths after a party in Mt Albert got out of control, with mass disorder erupting.
