A large fire on the roof of a building in downtown Toronto has cast the city in black smoke, and videos circulating online suggest multiple explosions may have been involved. The blaze broke out atop a building on Richmond St. W. near John St. on Friday evening as masses descended on the area ahead of the Toronto Blue Jays' home opener at the Rogers Centre a few blocks to the south. Fire crews are responding to the blaze as of 6:30 p.m. Friday, and while the cause is not known as of the time of publication, videos circulating on social media indicate the fire may have triggered multiple explosions. The apparent blasts heard in clips correspond with plumes of black smoke in videos from the scene. Fire in toronto!
