MANILA, Philippines — Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has renewed its call for President Ferdinand R.Marcos Jr. to secure the release of community journalist Frenchie Mae Cumpio who was convicted of financing terrorism. RSF made the appeal after the Tacloban Regional Trial Court Branch 45 affirmed its ruling in convicting Cumpio for financing terrorism and as the court stood by the testimonies of prosecution’s key witnesses.
