9,000 cops deployed for Lent in Central Luzon

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Around 9,000 police officers have been deployed across Central Luzon for public safety during the observance of Holy Week, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said on Sunday, March 29. In a statement, PRO3 said its personnel will be augmented by about 1,000 officers from other police units and more than 3,500 force multipliers, including village watchmen and members of anti-crime groups.
