"A nightclub in Quanzhou, China, has turned its dance floor into a late-night boxing ring, hosting exhibition fights between local social media personalities. Footage captured on Friday shows crowds packed around the ring, cheering and filming as fighters spar inside the venue, known as Tiangong Nightclub (TG Ultra). “People will think of Quanzhou Tiangong as the first, probably the first in all of China, to do this kind of boxing event. Now there are a lot of bars trying to imitate it, but they probably still can't quite capture the essence,” the ring announcer said. Organisers say the bouts are staged as entertainment rather than serious competition, with thick amateur gloves used to reduce impact. The concept reportedly began as a way for staff to settle workplace disputes before evolving into a regular attraction. Some matches feature unconventional formats, including three-versus-one bouts. The venue also hosts a 'Hundred-Person Kickboxing Tournament', offering a prize pool of 100,000 yuan (around $14,000), with most fights loosely following amateur middleweight rules. The format has drawn mixed reactions online, with some praising its novelty while others have raised concerns over safety."
