Fire erupts atop Mount Banahaw; probe underway

LUCENA CITY – A fire of still undetermined origin broke out atop Mount Banahaw in Quezon province late Sunday afternoon. “We do not yet have verified information because we only learned about it through social media last night,” said Magtanggol Barrion, a forest ranger of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), in an online interview Monday morning.
