LPA inside PAR 'unlikely' to become tropical cyclone — Pagasa

LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — A low pressure area (LPA) monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is unlikely to become a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours, the state weather bureau said. Reports from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) showed the weather system at 940 kilometers east of southern Mindanao as of 3 a.m. on Friday, May 22.
