ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held met Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore at Zardari House on Thursday, where they discussed the political and administrative situation of the region. During the meeting, Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore briefed the PPP chairman on governance and development initiatives in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that within a short span of six months, public confidence in the political system had been restored. He further said that efforts had been made to strengthen the relationship between the region and Pakistan, and highlighted development progress, including the execution of 500 kilometres of road construction projects across the region. The AJK prime minister also informed that special measures had been taken to attract tourists from around the world and that initiatives had been launched for the establishment of schools and colleges across all areas of the region. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto inquired about the progress on the resolution of public issues in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that the party was committed to addressing public grievances and would not ignore any issue affecting the people. He directed that consultations be held with all stakeholders and public representatives to ensure that issues are resolved in an effective and coordinated manner. Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore assured the PPP chairman that full efforts were being made to resolve public issues and that no concern of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir would be neglected.
