LAHORE: Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and Aga Khan University (AKU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a joint initiative focused on research, innovation and education aimed at addressing key national challenges. Under the interdisciplinary partnership, the two institutions will combine AKU’s expertise in health sciences, medicine and public health with LUMS’ strengths in technology, data science, public policy and governance. The collaboration will focus on developing evidence-based and scalable solutions to critical issues including climate resilience, mental health, maternal and child health, antimicrobial resistance and sustainable development. The agreement was signed by AKU Provost Dr Tania Bubela and LUMS Vice Chancellor Dr Ali Cheema. The MoU will also facilitate student and faculty exchanges, joint academic programmes and institutional capacity building.
