MANILA, Philippines — A United Nations anti-corruption official paid a courtesy visit to Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla in what the latter said was a part of a “strong” and “growing” partnership. Annika Wythes, the anti-corruption team lead of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Southeast Asia and the Pacific, came to Remulla’s office on Thursday. “The strong growing partnership between the Office of the Ombudsman and the UNODC is vital in advancing anti-corruption efforts, institutional capacity building, and international cooperation,” Remulla said in a statement.
