Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Friday, helped by gains in real estate, utilities and industrial stocks. The CSE All-Share index settled up 0.43% at 21,929.64. However, the index lost 4.3% for the week. SMB Finance PLC and Renuka City Hotels PLC were the top percentage gainers on the index, rising 50% and 10.5%, respectively. Trading volume on the CSE All-Share index rose to 78.4 million shares from 76.6 million shares in the previous session, according to exchange data. The equity market’s turnover rose to 2.18 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($6.65 million) from 2.16 billion Sri Lankan rupees in the previous session. Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 67.3 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 2.12 billion rupees, the data showed.
