"Gaza's shores saw a march in support of the Global Sumud Flotilla on Thursady, following the Israeli Navy’s interception of the vessels in international waters. Footage shows crowd marching through the streets, beating drums, and waving flags of the nations whose citizens had been part of the latest attempt to break the blockade. Demonstrators were also seen reenacting the arrest of the activists. “This free humanitarian flotilla aimed to convey the voice of Gaza to the Western world, but the Israeli occupation forces thwarted these efforts, believing they had triumphed. However, they fail to realise that these detained activists will become ambassadors for the Gaza Strip in their own countries,” said Nour Saad, spokesperson for the Global Sumud Flotilla. The arrests and subsequent treatment of the detainees went viral - after they were seen with bound hands, kneeling on the ground. Israeli National Security Minister Ben Gvir was seen 'taunting' them in a video, with condemnation from the US, the UK, France, Italy and Canada. The latest interception follows a number of previous attempts, also intercepted by Israel. Israel later said all the detained activists from the latest flotilla had been deported back to their home countries."
