"Dubai hosted the 'Sudan Festival 2026' on Saturday, celebrating Sudan's cultural diversity through folk performances, traditional cuisine, and handicrafts and heritage items. "We are very grateful to the UAE for its continued support. We are absolutely delighted with this wonderful atmosphere" said Sabahat Ali, a Sudanese woman living in the UAE. The UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, told local media that the relationship between the peoples of the UAE and Sudan is “one of genuine love and brotherhood,” noting “the UAE's continued commitment to supporting brothers and friends everywhere.” Reports noted that the festival was attended by more than 25,000 people, including families and individuals from the Sudanese community and other communities residing in the country.
