Hi! Edgar Ramirez, back in your inbox. Yes, that's right — I'd like to nominate Hunter Biden for President of Trolling. Specifically, on X (formerly Twitter). And I'm not alone in my nomination! As Ariel Messman-Rucker reports , the former president’s son’s quick-witted responses on X have "everyone on social media praising his comedic chops." The saga started on June 1, when Hunter celebrated his sobriety with an anniversary post, and an X account decided to troll him by insisting the bag of cocaine that was famously found inside the White House in 2023 actually belonged to the former president’s son. Hunter's response? "It most definitely was not. I would never have forgotten my drugs." Read more of Hunter's best clapbacks here. While we're on the topic of poor past decisions, let us hope Virginians can reverse one. As Christopher Wiggins reports : "Twenty years after Virginia voters amended their constitution to ban same-sex marriages, a coalition of LGBTQ+ advocates, faith leaders, elected officials, and families is launching a campaign to erase that language and replace it with an explicit constitutional guarantee of marriage equality." The campaign, called Virginians for Marriage Equality, officially launched June 1 in Richmond, where supporters gathered to begin organizing for a statewide referendum that will appear on the Nov. 3 ballot. This writer will of course be rooting for this cause, though we can't say the same for Pennsylvania's Republican governor candidate . Until next time!
