CEBU CITY, Philippines — The Department of Education (DepEd) Region 7 has urged parents and guardians to enroll their children as early as possible, warning that delayed enrollment could affect students’ ability to keep up with classroom lessons and learning competencies. As classes for School Year 2026-2027 officially opened on June 8, DepEd 7 officials said schools across Central Visayas remain open to accepting late enrollees, provided that learners can still comply with the required attendance and academic standards set by the department.
