"The acting President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, held a meeting on Monday with her Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at the presidential office of the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul, as part of her international tour. Images broadcast by Venezolana Television show the two leaders holding talks as well as another meeting she had earlier with the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar. After the meeting with Erdogan, Rodriguez celebrated the 'development' of her country, stating that as part of the agreements reached, the fifth joint commission of both nations will be held in Venezuela in November, along with an international fair where Turkish companies will meet with others from the South American nation. "The economic development of Venezuela is advancing. Venezuela is an energy powerhouse, but we want to be known not only for our energy reserves but also for our immense space to diversify our economy and the great potential our country has," Rodriguez said. According to the state-run Venezolana de Television, with this meeting, Rodriguez successfully concludes her working visit to Turkey. It also highlighted that this event opens a new space for 'direct dialogue' between the two countries designed to promote 'mutual comprehensive development and consolidate bilateral relations at their highest level'. The stop in Turkey took place after an official visit to India, focused on issues related to oil exports, as well as areas of health, transportation, science, technology, and renewable energies."
