OVP deploys food truck for quake responders in General Santos

MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Vice President (OVP) deployed its Kalusugan Food Truck that would serve hot meals to frontliners working to help victims of the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that hit Mindanao. The truck was stationed near the collapsed Save More building in the barangay (village) Calumpang, General Santos City. The OVP said in a statement on Tuesday that it "recognizes the dedication and sacrifice of our frontliners who continue to serve under difficult and hazardous conditions". "The deployment forms part of the OVP's broader disaster response efforts being coordinated through the [OVP] Disaster Operations Center and implemented by its Southern Mindanao Satellite Office in close coordination with local government units, emergency response teams, and partner agencies", the OVP said.
