Ariana Grande on stage at last year's Oscars Ariana Grande made a playful nod to one of her most recent break-ups during the first night of her new live tour. On Saturday night, the Grammy winner kicked off her Eternal Sunshine world tour in Oakland, California, following the success of her 2024 album of the same name. Included on the setlist was her chart-topping hit Thank U, Next, released in 2019, which name-checks some of her famous exes including rapper Big Sean , dancer Ricky Alvez , comedian Pete Davidson and the late Mac Miller . Towards the end of the song, Ariana sings about looking ahead to a future wedding , remarking “only want to do it once real bad, gonna make that shit last”. However, given that since the song’s release she’s been married and divorced , she clearly thought she’d better make some amends to the song, as evidenced in the video below: View this post on Instagram The Oscar nominee married estate agent Dalton Gomez in 2021 after just over a year of dating, and they separated in 2023, during production of the film Wicked . Since then, it’s been revealed that she had begun dating her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater . Earlier this week, TMZ claimed that Ariana and Ethan had separated after around three years of dating, though neither party has spoken publicly to confirm whether or not there is any truth to these claims. Ariana will bring her Eternal Sunshine tour to the UK later this year, with a whopping 10 dates scheduled at London’s O2 Arena between August and September. The tour setlist includes Ariana’s new single Hate That I Made You Love Me , taken from her upcoming eighth album, Petal . Last week, Hate That I Made You Love Me became Ariana’s eighth number one single in the UK, and her first since Positions and the Lady Gaga collab Rain On Me both topped the charts in 2020.
