"Chinese President Xi Jinping left Pyongyang on Tuesday after a two-day state visit hosted by DPRK leader Kim Jong Un. Footage shows Xi and Kim walking side by side during a grand farewell ceremony at Pyongyang International Airport. Honour guards, senior officials and flag-waving crowds lined the departure route. The ceremony capped Xi's first visit to North Korea since 2019 and came as the two countries marked the 65th anniversary of their Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance. Xi and Kim pledged to expand cooperation across politics, trade and culture, while reaffirming their socialist ties and opposition to external pressure. The Pyongyang summit follows a series of high-level meetings in Beijing, where Xi Jinping hosted back-to-back meetings with US President Donald Trump and Russia's Vladimir Putin in May. Ahead of Xi's arrival, DPRK state media called for united opposition to 'hegemonism and power politics'."
