COTABATO CITY — Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity Mel Senen Sarmiento on Tuesday lauded the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) for extending humanitarian assistance to communities affected by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in neighboring Soccsksargen and Davao regions. In a statement, Sarmiento praised the deployment of the BARMM Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) team and personnel from the Bangsamoro Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (READi), mobilized through the Office of Civil Defense-BARMM, to support the national government’s emergency response and relief operations.
