Party-list solon seeks probe into Ateneo athletes’ deaths

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Pinoy Workers Party-list Representative Karl Fernandez Legazpi will file a House resolution before the House Committee on Youth and Sports Development seeking an inquiry into the tragic deaths of two Ateneo de Manila University student-athletes in Aurora on June 8. In a statement on Tuesday, June 9, Legazpi extended his condolences to the families, friends, and the Ateneo community. He described the loss as a blow not only to the university but also to Philippine sports as a whole.
