Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has reported a serious emergency incident involving a fire and a subsequent gas cylinder explosion at a restaurant located in Amerat. Upon receiving the notification, specialized fire-fighting teams were immediately dispatched to the scene to contain the blaze and mitigate further risks to the surrounding area. The incident, which was exacerbated by the detonation of a gas cylinder, resulted in two individuals sustaining serious injuries. The emergency medical teams attached to the CDAA provided essential initial care at the scene, ensuring the patients were stabilised before they were transported to the hospital for advanced clinical treatment. While the fire has been successfully brought under control, the incident serves as a stark reminder of the critical importance of adhering to fire safety and gas management regulations within commercial establishments. Following the incident, the CDAA has highlighted critical safety guidelines, to assist the public in managing fire emergencies.
