Muscat: The General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Research, in cooperation with the Dhofar Governorate Police Command, has foiled an attempt to illegally smuggle a vehicle out of the country. Two suspects of different Arab nationalities were apprehended in connection with the incident. Investigations revealed that the suspects had meticulously planned the operation in advance. One of the individuals rented the vehicle and subsequently handed it over to the second suspect, who was tasked with preparing the vehicle for its illegal exit from the country. The Royal Oman Police confirmed that the required legal procedures are currently being completed against both individuals.
