Following the leak of the new colours for the iPhone 18 Pro earlier this year, we can now see what they will look like in real life, courtesy of some dummy models. Our sister site Macworld already provided an exclusive preview of the new colours for the iPhone 18 Pro back in April, based on information from our sources. Whilst the images were still digital renderings of the respective colour codes on 3D models, the well-known leaker Sonny Dickson has now published the first product samples of the iPhone 18 Pro in the corresponding colours on X. So, for the first time, we have an idea of what the tones will look like, including the new Dark Cherry. This will seemingly be the hero colourway following the iPhone 17 Pro’s Cosmic Orange, which has since been copied by countless Android phones as well as other tech products like smartwatches. Dark Cherry is the clear winner here, with the others all bringing nothing exciting to the colour palette. It may divide the crowd more than Cosmic Orange, however, as the sample looks to have a brighter pink hue to it than the Macworld render. We’ll have to wait and see what it looks like on the final device in September. Judging by the proportions of the camera module and glass back, these appear to be four dummies of the iPhone 18 Pro Max. As in the April leak, four colours are visible: Light Blue, Black, Silver and Dark Cherry. Provided these production samples come from an independent source, we can therefore regard this new leak as confirmation of the Macworld story. Sonny Dickson Not much else is new Apart from the colours, the four dummies are in line with the consensus on the 18 models. It will again be very difficult to distinguish this year’s model from last year’s, were it not for the new colours. So far, it is assumed that the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will be slightly wider and slightly longer than their predecessors, though this is unlikely to be particularly noticeable. All the buttons are also in their usual places. So, on the whole, nothing new. If you’re looking for a bigger leap forward, you should skip the iPhone 18 Pro and wait until 2027. Cherry will probably be the next hit, orange did very well. pic.twitter.com/2qpZDA7oEK — Sonny Dickson (@SonnyDickson) May 29, 2026
