OnePlus is reportedly planning to launch a renewed push into the budget phone space, but there could be one noteworthy catch. It’s been a topsy turvy year for the OnePlus brand, with a steady drip of rumours questioning its future mixed with hints at exciting new products . This one firmly belongs in the latter category. According to tipster Yogesh Brar , the Oppo-owned company is launching a brand-new smartphone series. According to Brar, the new phone line will be called the OnePlus N series, will launch “by July”, and will be priced under Rs 20k. Brar claimed at the time that India would primarily get cheaper OnePlus devices in the budget and mid-range categories, which was: “Not a good news [sic] for US, UK & EU customers”. Taking the tipster’s comments together, the implication seems clear. There’s a new OnePlus N budget phone series coming to India, and likely nowhere else.
